It is the height of stupidity.\u00a0 By cutting the IRS by $1 billion since 2011, the Congress and the President have increased the deficit and the US debt by at least $21 billion to $54 billion over that time period.\u00a0 By not adding resources to drive the $450 billion annual \u00a0tax gap down and to curtail the tax refund fraud that is occurring adds tens of billions to that deficit and debt.\u00a0 This behavior by the Congress and the President borders on the criminal neglect of the finances of the United States.
