{"id":914,"date":"2014-09-18T15:35:23","date_gmt":"2014-09-18T15:35:23","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.unitedwestandllc.com\/uws\/?p=914"},"modified":"2014-09-18T15:35:23","modified_gmt":"2014-09-18T15:35:23","slug":"increase-funding-to-the-irs-for-fy2015-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.unitedwestandllc.com\/uws\/2014\/09\/18\/increase-funding-to-the-irs-for-fy2015-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Increase Funding to the IRS for FY2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Harry, you are letting them off too easily.\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Both the President and the Congress court those who provide generous donations to their campaign funds <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">each and every year.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">How do you suspect those folks have such great tax shelters like carried interest for the hedge fund managers-some of the most generous campaign contributors in the country.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">While all of the rest of us get taxed on our earning from the business we are associated with at higher ordinary income tax rates, hedge fund managers pay income taxes at the much lower capital gains rates for their earnings from the business they work at each day.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">That single unexplained, unexplainable, and absolutely unfair tax shelter costs the Treasury billions of dollars each year. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Further, you see the audits going down for everyone but the folks with incomes over $10 million\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">have had their audits decreased from 30% in 2011 to 24.2% in 2013.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">Congress and the President are giving their\u00a0generous donors a pass again.<\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">\u00a0 <\/span><span style=\"font-size: medium\">The Congress substantially cuts the IRS budget and the IRS is forced to economize.
